LG enV3 in Blue

I was wondering about the buy out of Alltel by Verizon. Does that mean that current Alltel customers will become Verizon customers? If so, when will this take place?

Most Alltel Wireless customers will be converted to Verizon Wireless in the upcoming months with no additional effort by the customer. However, as part of the regulatory approval process, a select number of ZIP codes in which both Alltel and Verizon Wireless offer service will not merge carriers. In other words, Alltel customers in those ZIP codes will remain Alltel customers unless they voluntarily change carriers (early termination fees may apply). For those of you that are in integrated ZIP codes, you can choose to keep your Alltel cell phone or purchase a Verizon Wireless device. If you choose to change to Verizon Wireless before the official conversion, you may face early termination fees from Alltel Wireless. Hope this helps.

You should be able to use MP3s for your ringtones, but you may need to cut them down 30 seconds. There are many sites online where you can insert your MP3, create the ringtone, and send it directly to your phone.

Verizon is allowing me to upgrade my phone now. Does that automatically mean that you allow this upgrade?

My dad is 94 years old and is loosing his eye sight. He lives alone and needs a cell phone for protection. A few days ago he nearly fell in the bathroom and needed me to come to help him but the cell phone he has now (Verizon) has too small numbers for him to see. Since I check on him often it would be a big help for him to have a phone with large numbers. He has a plan with you already. We just need a second phone. Hope you can help us.

It has very large keys, one–touch dialing and dedicated hot keys for 911, In Case of Emergency (ICE), Speakerphone and Speech recognition. Unfortunately, we're not offering it at LetsTalk.com but you should be able to find it on Verizon.com or in a Verizon store.

Some are a monthly recurring fee (like through Verizon) while others are a more expensive but a one-time-only software purchase. I would recommend contacting Verizon or simply using a search engine to see what best meets your needs.

  Re: Ringtone store Aug 12th, 2009 0 Post(s) Reply Yes, Verizon offers a Get It Now Search application for the env3. Through it, you can purchase and download ringtones, wallpapers, and games. To download the Get It Now Search application, go to the Verizon website, and in the drop-down menu for Features & Downloads, select Tools & Applications. Scroll down and in Categories (on the left), select ringtones. From there find your phone and applications compatible for your phone will display. To download, click on one of the applications and Send to Phone.

I know that font colors can be changed when texting, but is it possible to make that setting permanent? Typically it must be changed for every text message typed.

I imagine you've followed these directions before, but if not, try this out: Using the Internal Keypad 1. Open the flip and press [MENU]. 2. Press Settings & Tools. 3. Press Display Settings. 102 SETTINGS & TOOLS 4. Press Font Size. 5. Use the Directional Key to scroll to Dial Digits/ Menu & Lists/ Message. 6. Press the Left Soft Key [Set]. 7. Use the Directional Key to scroll to a setting, then press . You may want to consider using a larger memory card, it will give the device more memory to store photos, videos, and Mp3s. As far as viewing the minutes of each phone call, check your call history by pressing the send/call button.

  Re: Menu Color Jul 7th, 2009 0 Post(s) Reply You can change the style of the menu to either grid, list or tabs by selecting Display Settings from the Tools and Settings menu. Additionally, you can change the background color of the menu by choosing a new wallpaper. Take a picture of the color background you want and then set it as the wallpaper. Otherwise, you'll need to choose a predefined one in the Display Settings under Tools and Settings.
